This is the Marriage of Heaven and Hell
Mardi Gras by Surprise Me Mr. Davis (download here) (Buy from Amazon) This is the marriage of heaven and hell and it’s done by The Slip. The band that’s called Surprise Me Mr. Davis is actually The Slip plus one other dude. They’re all Boston guys. This is a great tune.
I’m Doing Alright. Doing Just Fine
If Work Permits by The Format (download here) (Buy from Amazon) An overlooked tune by a band that doesn’t even exist anymore. If you don’t know them, their style can be considered a mixture of indie, alternative, punk and folk music, with elements of 1960s and 1970s pop music. So, it’s pretty good if you [...]

Cause I Miss You
Cause I Miss You by Griffin House (download here) (Buy from Amazon) This guy is still way too unknown. He’s got a few awesome songs. This one is good too. As the site says, “i like this song”
Still Very Superstitious
Superstition by Gypsy Soul (download here) (Buy from Amazon) I know i posted a cover of Stevie’s classic earlier this week (here), but this one was too good to keep from you. Just so bluesy. I love it

Phoenix Says
Napoleon Says by Phoenix (download here) (Buy from Amazon) Most people jumped on the Phoenix bandwagon with their latest album but their best work is actually on It’s Never Been Like That and this is my favorite track off of that album. It’s piercingly great.

Loud Pipes
Loud Pipes by Ratatat (download here) (Buy from Amazon) Just a funky little instrumental by the rowdy NYC electronic music duo. It’s got a good beat and sort of jams. It’s from their Classics album which, as with their first album, is almost entirely instrumental, with the only exception being a large cat-like sound sample [...]
Jack’s Sharing
The Sharing Song by Jack Johnson (download here) (Buy from Amazon) The Curious George Soundtrack is pretty incredible. Sure, i’m not 7 yrs old, but i still love it. Here you go.

My Sharona Mash
Do You Want My Sharona by DJ Zebra (download here) This is a good song that mixes a Franz Ferdinand song with My Sharona. It really jams and something that’s good for a running or riding mix. It’s actually a pretty great Franz song too.
Summer Love
Summer Love by Justin Timberlake (download here) (Buy from Amazon) One of the better songs off the FutureSex album. I find this song frequently gets overlooked even though it was a single and the album won a Grammy. Whatever, it’s still the best song on the album. With this song and his appearances on SNL, [...]
Honestly Dido
Honestly OK by Dido (download here) (Buy from Amazon) Dido was all the rage a decade ago (and sold 21 million records) and she should have been because her songs were catchy, she was really hot, and Eminem remixed her. This was one of her songs that I liked that slipped under the radar. It’s [...]
