This is one of the best pure rock tunes i’ve heard in a while. Granted it was at #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart for 17 nonconsecutive weeks, but i consistently find that people still haven’t heard it. Give it a listen

Whenever a supergroup comes out, i get skeptical because their music typically sucks. So when Jim James from My Morning Jacket), Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis from Bright Eyes and M. Ward (from She and Him) got together, i thought it was going to be a waste of time. And i was mostly right. But this one song shone through the supergroup darkness. It’s pretty smooth

D Jr came out with a new album last year and it’s pretty good. This is one of my favorite tracks from it. Dinosaur was one of the pioneers of Grunge and unlike most of the bands of the 90′s they seem to be standing the test of time. Check this out. It also sounds a little like Pearl Jam.
