An oldie (2001) but still an awesome song. THis is actually the first single ever released by The White Stripes. Built in 1926, the Hotel Yorba is a former hotel in southwest Detroit. The song was recorded in room 206 of the hote which is now used as government subsidized housing. Most of the music video was shot outside the hotel, but they were denied permission to film inside; according to Jack White, the duo is “sort of banned for life” from the hotel.

This Danish band got a giant kick in visibility when the new iPad commercial featured one of their songs. That song in the commercial is a good tune but i think this one is better.

Had a great time at a wedding this weekend and this was one of the numbers played. When you go to a wedding where the groom’s in a legit band, you get great music. This tune is relaxing and lovely. I highly recommend it.
